I would if mine were ready. I do have a used but much better than my current used engine I’m going to freshen up and swap here soon. Just gotta order the parts and do the freshening first. I also scored the trans, down pipe, radiator, cats, transfer case, and misc parts. It was from a local guy who had a diesel swap done at Roadside Werx. Everything is well labeled and looks to be in good shape. It’s my understanding this rig was driving to Moab reliably last year for wheeling before the swap was done.
Nice rig. Good luck on the sale.
I’ve not taken it to a shop yet. Seeing that 7 of 8 cylinders are all around 120PSI and #1 is 90PSI it tells me this engine is just worn out.
My dilema now is rebuild this one or swap a Chevy V8 into it. I’ve been doing my own wrenching on my project vehicles for quite a few years now. I’ll tackle this one too.
I’d like to give it a go but with my engine being as old and weak as it is I don’t think my rig is ready for that challenge even further from home.
We pulled the headliner out of my RRC and recovered it with some fabric from amazon for about $50.
I just noticed this doing this to me this week.. Wasn’t like this last week. Not sure what’s going on.
Welcome to the group. This board isn’t as busy as those others. I’d like to see it pick up some. Which is why I keep posting new posts and updates on my Rover. I’m new also.
A few weeks ago a couple of us went up and ran Slaughterhouse Gulch. We want to do more runs. My rover keeps getting upgrades almost weekly. Should be real solid before too long.
Exhaust is fixed. Now I found I needed to order new front and rear sway bar rubber bushings. 🙂 Going to have a new truck before too long. Also going to get me all new U joints.
Today my rover is down at Bud’s mufflers on Santa Fe getting it’s exhaust fixed. Multiple leaks and a bad muffler are part of the repairs. Should sound like a different animal tomorrow.
New Terra firma rear coil dislocation cones are installed. 🙂
I cannot seem to post pics. Every time I try to upload one I get a memory error.
Shoot me an email at email@example.com and I’ll shoot you the rest of the stuff.
Here are a few pics from our trip to Slaughterhouse Gulch.
We had a great time. I was really bummer that Chris had to turn back… I’ve been there in that situation before.
We’re coming up.
I’m a maybe at this time. Still looking at my options.
